Batik Air, the new full Service airline in the Lion Group, today announced that starting 3 May, Batik Air will fly Jakarta – Manado (capital of North Sulawesi) and Jakarta – Balikpapan (in East Kalimantan). While, starting 8 May 2013, the airline will fly Jakarta – Pekanbaru (capital of Riau) and Jakarta – Ambon (Maluku).
All flights will commence from Terminal 3 (three) of the Soekarno-Hatta International airport at Cengakreng, Jakarta.
Batik Air will be another full service Indonesian airline that plans to compete directly with Garuda Indonesia.
Separately , Mandala Air, LCC partner airline of Tiger Airways, announced that starting 16 May 22013, Mandala Air will fly Jakarta – Yogyakarta. The airline will also depart from Terminal 3 (three) Soekarno-Hatta airport.
