Aerosmith: Global Warming World Tour Live in Jakarta 2013

America’s undisputed greatest rock n roll band, Aerosmith will be making a historical appearance in Indonesia as the band stages its first ever performance in the country on The Global Warming World Tour Live in Jakarta, to be held at the Jakarta International Exhibition Center on 11th May 2013.

The charismatic and eccentric vocalist Steven Tyler –who has recently appeared as judge in the popular talent show American Idol,  - along with his dynamite duo partners lead guitarist Joe Perry, rhythm guitarist Brad Whitford, Bassist Tom Hamilton, and Drummer Joey Kramer, will be coming to the city with full force to indulge their fans who have been waiting for years  looking forward to nothing but great music and  an awesome stage act.

The show form parts of the Global Warming World Tour which takes the band across North America, Oceania and Asia since last year to promote their latest album “Music from Another Dimension” which was released on 6th November 2013 (the day of America’s President Elections). “Oh yeah”, “Legendary Child”, “Lover A lot”, and other hits of this latest album will definitely be played during the show. However, some of the band’s legendary hits such as “Jaded”, “I don’t wanna miss a thing”, “Amazing”, “Living on the Edge”, “Crazy”, “Angel”, “What it takes”, “Walk this way”, “Janie’s got a gun”, “Dream on”, “Love in an Elevator”, “Mama Kin”, and whole lot of other will definitely be performed to quench the fans’ longing for pure American Rock N’ Roll.

The Bad Boys from Boston –as  Aerosmith is frequently referred to- was first formed in Boston, Massachusetts, USA in 1970 when Guitarist Joe Perry and bassist Tom Hamilton, met up with singer Steven Tyler, drummer Joey Kramer, and guitarist Ray Tabano. In 1971, Tabano was replaced by Brad Whitford, and from then on Aerosmith began their musical journey. Their style, which is rooted in blues-based hard rock, over time has also incorporated elements of pop, and rhythm and blues, and has inspired many of today’s emerging new musicians.

Aerosmith is the best-selling American rock band of all time, having sold more than 150 million albums worldwide, including 66.5 million albums in the United States alone. They also hold the record for the most gold and multi-platinum albums by an American group. The band has scored 21 Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, nine number-one Mainstream Rock hits, four Grammy Awards, and ten MTV Video Music Awards. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, and were included among both Rolling Stone's and VH1's lists of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.

It took a collaborative work of three of Indonesia’s music promoters namely Ismaya Live, Dyandra Entertainment, and Sound Rhythm to bring Aerosmith for their first appearance ever in Indonesia. Adding the special touch to the show, the concert will be opened by the latest Indonesian Blues and Rock n Roll sensation Gugun Blues Shelter. Gugun Blues Shelter is known for a thick Blues taste to their music . They have played in some of notable international festivals around the globe including “Belfast Jazz & Blues Festival”, The Annual “Colne Blues Festival” the “Skegness Rock & Blues Festival”, and also the Hard Rock Calling, Hyde Park, in London , June 2011, where they performed  with other notable artists such as Rod Steward, The Killers, and Bon Jovi.
