Pengalamannya traveling diawali saat SMP ketika mengunjungi perkampungan masyarakat Baduy luar, Sirnarasa dan Sirnaresmi, Cisolok, Sukabumi. Diilhami MTV road rules, pengalamannya terus diukir melanjutkan hidup di atas motornya di SMA 5 Bandung, lalu terombang-ambing dengan kamera di FSU Tallahassee, Florida, dan terutama di Enhaii jurusan Manajemen Kepariwisataan. Didukung mentornya di Depbudpar, Sapta Nirwandar, ia mendalami kepariwisataan di UUM, Malaysia hingga dapat menjadi konsultan pariwisata dan bergabung sebagai penulis perjalanan dan pariwisata bagi website terkemuka di negeri ini. Kecintaannya berada di jalanan tak berhenti. Tersesat dan terperangkap di negeri antah berantah selalu menyadarkannya, bahwa hal itu membuatnya semakin menyukai perjalanan.

I was politely asked through my mailbox by one of the hotel managers from Sriwijaya Hotel, Jakarta. From the name of the establishment, I instinctively thought that it was one of those hotels in Palembang, South Sumatra. So they say that it is the oldest hotel in Jakarta.
