I heard Semarang was rainy at that moment from other passanger in aeroplane. Chinese people believe that ?rain is good prosperity? in Chinese language, hoki. That was exactly what Mrs. Mari Pangestu, Minister of Industry said in her speech. Fitri, my friend, has already wait for me on time inside Ahmad Yani airport. As it was still early in the morning, we went to Klenteng/ Temple Sam Po Kong, the famous place that people believe first place Cheng Ho boat arrived and become the big place for Chinese people to pray in Semarang. Actually Cheng Ho was Moslem, his parents were Moslem in Yunnan, China. But there is no mosque inside, only temple for Chinese people/ Kong Hu Chu to pray. I could feel the China breath with Red ornament and environment. We went to the first temple but it was forbidden to take picture inside. Opening ceremony after big renovation of SPK by Governor of Center Java would be held on 10.00 AM followed with other procession. There is a cave with holy water which people believe for medicine. There is original first boat of Cheng Ho and becomes stone, the historical story of Cheng Ho. Inside the temple we couldn?t take photograph but when persons (from Chungkuo) before us allowed, Fitri asked me to stand near by the holy water then I asked one lady of committee member there to join and VOILA! We got picture with the holy water.. and I could bring also the water itself to my home sweet home. Yes, the temple has become a very big area and great place of tourism after renovation! After had nice lunch of baked fish, we went to hotel. I was so tired but couldn?t sleep as I had to go to PRPP (it is a big exhibition place) so we went there and sit together with other invitations. Gambang Semarang dance started the ceremony to welcome us. Mrs. Mari Pangestu gave speech before opening remarks for the exhibition. I couldn?t took her picture as all of photographers stand in front of the stage so I took her pic from TV.. hehehe... After looking around and around, chatting with exhibition member and souvenir boy/girl counter, then followed the dragon and barongsai show, I just realized that I was lost. It was already dark because 7.00 PM! I didn?t hear Fitri called for 8 missed calls! I have enjoyed so much and didn?t know that he was worried so bad about me. Finally, we could meet and had an outstanding dinner, the fries schrimp with garlic and salty sweet crab.Then we went to Tay Kak Sie temple where the place of KongCo (Cheng Ho) kim sin (arca/ little statue). Hundred of Red Lampions covered the sky of Tay Kak Sie temple. It was also for Lampion championship. The stage shape was a boat of Cheng Ho. Indonesia Record Museum has registered the lighten of 600cm two big candles. There would be KongCo carnival for about 15 kms from Tay Kak Sie temple to Sam Po Kong temple from 5.00 AM and returned again from 1.00 PM from Sam Po Kong. Long carnival and people carried KongCo on their shoulder! I back to Jakarta with Cheng Ho spirit of peace...
