(Jakarta, October 26, 2022) - With October about to come to an end, it means the G20 Summit will take place shortly. The international event, which will be attended by many delegates from the G20 member countries, is ready to be held on the Island of Gods from November 15 to 16, 2022. Bali's preparation as the host of this conference continues to be improved as much as possible.
One of them is setting up the distinctive look of the Island of Thousand Temples by installing a penjor; bamboo shafts decorated with young coconut leaves regularly used by Balinese Hindus to welcome a celebration. 2,500 penjors are set to be displayed from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport to the venues where welcoming events for the arrival of the G20 delegation will take place. Cultural arts performances have also been prepared to enliven this series of events.
Meanwhile, the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), as the body in charge of cyber security, is ready to deploy experts and high-tech equipment for cyber security during the G20 Summit. Other aspects, including infrastructure, are also being revamped by improving all the facilities that will be used later, such as the airport, shortcuts for easy access, as well as the venues for the G20 Summit in Nusa Dua.
For transportation, a total of 1,452 electric vehicles composed of electric cars, motorcycles, and buses, have been available in Bali to support the G20 Summit operations. Not to be missed, as many as 70 units of ultra-fast charging stations and 200 units of home charging stations have also been installed across the G20 Summit area.
In line with the government's improvement efforts to aid the implementation of the upcoming G20 Summit, the locals are also enthusiastic about the event. They happily comply to carry out office activities, as well as teaching and learning processes, from home
during the G20 Summit, according to government recommendations. This is done to support the event which in turn will revive Bali's economy and tourism post-pandemic.
The chance for Indonesia to show its extraordinary charm to the whole world is nearly approaching. Give a warm welcome to the G20 Summit and show your support for the archipelago to successfully host this momentous global event.
