In accordance with the government policy particularly Regulation of the Minister for Transportation No. 25 the Year 2020 on transportation control during Eid Fitr 2020 which aims to prevent further spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia as well as the Circular Letter from the Minister of Health No. HK.02.01/MENKES/313/2020 which stipulates the Health Protocol for Handling Returning Indonesian Citizens and Foreign Arrivals from Foreign Countries, the following are the mandatory requirement for passengers of Garuda Indonesia:
1. Passengers on Domestic Flights
A. Supporting Travel Documents from relevant agencies or bodies
a. Passenger shall bring a travel permit signed by the relevant official, official travel itinerary or travel permit from the passengers’ employer if the passenger works at a private institution, government, police, military, or state apparatus.
b. Hospital referral letter for passengers who are emergency patients that will be treated in another hospital.
c. Death certificate of the deceased family member for passengers intending to visit the family.
B. Statement Letter concerning the Control on the Spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia
Every passenger who has fulfilled the requirements as stipulated in the above-mentioned Point 1 must fill the form which is available on this link.
C. Health Certificate
For domestic flights to-and-from regions that have implemented Large-Scale Social Restrictions (LSSR/PSBB) or Red Zone, passengers are obligated to provide a health certificate in Bahasa Indonesia and English, stating a negative Covid-19 Rapid Test or negative PCR test result. The health certificate must be valid for a maximum of 7 days after being issued by the relevant health facility.
D. National Identity (KTP) or other valid identification cards
Passengers must bring copies of the necessary documents and identity card prior to arriving at the Airport and report to the Check-in Official.
2. Passengers on International Flights
A. International Flight Passengers travelling to Indonesia must have a Health Certificate in English, stating a negative Covid-19 PCR test result. The health certificate is valid for a maximum of 7 days after being issued by the health facility from the country of origin and shall be validated by the Port Health Authority at the port/airport / Land Border Port of Entry (PLBDN) upon arrival
B. If the passengers only have a health certificate based on Rapid Test/ health certificate without COVID-19 details/not carrying a health certificate, thus, passengers would still be able to check-in. However, the passenger would need to conduct a Rapid Test in the arrival area.
C . National Identity (KTP) or Other valid identification cards: Passengers must bring copies of the necessary documents and identity card prior to arriving at the Airport and report to the Check-in Official.
3. Passengers to Bali or transiting in Bali at the Denpasar International Airport Bali
A. Passengers travelling to Bali and/or transiting in Bali must have a Health Certificate in English, stating a negative Covid-19 PCR test result issued by the laboratories of Government /Local Government Hospitals/other laboratories designated by the COVID-19 Handling Task Force. The health certificate is valid for a maximum of 7 days’ after being issued by the health facility upon arrival at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport (DPS). This regulation is effective as of 28 May 2020.
B. Passengers must fill the Information on COVID-19 Health Awareness Form for the Province of Bali, available at https://cekdiri.baliprov.go.id/ and must show the QRCode, which is obtained upon completion of the form, to the verification official upon arrival at the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport (DPS).
C . National Identity (KTP) or Other valid identification cards: Passengers must bring copies of the necessary documents and identity card prior to arriving at the Airport and report to the Check-in Official.
4. Ensure Government Policies in the individual Countries prior to travelling
For passengers who will travel to areas affected by positive cases of COVID-19, the passengers must comply with the government regulation/policies of the respective regions or countries.
5. Use of Mask during the flight and in the Airport
To ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers, it is encouraged that all passengers shall wear a mask (reusable mask) and continue to implement Health and Clean Living Behaviour during the flight as well as in the areas within the airport.
