The Directorate General of Immigration of the Republic of Indonesia issued a Circular Letter (IMI-GR.01.01-0409) on Tuesday, 18 August 2020, which extended the date for all foreign nationals residing in Indonesia to finalize their Onshore Visa Application by 20 September 2020.
As stated in the Circular Letter, Jhoni Ginting, Director-General of Immigration, informed the following:
1 | Foreign nationals with a Visa on Arrival (VOA) permit, Single and Multiple Re-Entry Permits, APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC), or Crew Visit, which had been granted an Emergency Stay Permit must extend their stay permits or apply for a visa and report to the local Immigration Office by 20 September 2020;
2 | Foreign nationals with an expired Visa-Free Entry Permit or Permanent or Limited Stay Permit, which could not be extended in accordance to the Laws of the Government of Indonesia but had obtained an Emergency Stay permit, must submit a visa application and report to the local Immigration Office by 20 September 2020.
Foreign nationals that do not comply with the above-mentioned regulations will incur an Administrative Immigration Sanctions and will be fined for overstaying their visa.
