Information

Get vaccinated first, then travel to the Thousand Islands.

Who’s been longing to travel to the Thousand Islands? Enjoy the charm of the blue ocean beaches, stretches of white sand, the sound of waves, and the chirping of birds that help relax the mind.

As one of the tourism icons of DKI Jakarta, the Thousand Islands not only have beautiful beaches, accommodation facilities ranging from homestays to resorts, and well-preserved coral reef ecosystems, but the residents are also known to be friendly. Experience Indonesia in 360.

While waiting for the end of PPKM, let’s support the vaccination program so that herd immunity can be achieved. This way, tourism and the creative economy can soon recover, and fellow travelers can travel again.

As stated by Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno during his visit to the vaccination event in the Administrative Thousand Islands Regency on August 13, 2021, if everyone stays healthy, along with the decrease in active cases and new cases in the Thousand Islands and the hospital occupancy rate below 20 percent, tourism in the Thousand Islands can revive. This will, of course, be in accordance with the PPKM status level in DKI Jakarta and specifically in the Thousand Islands.

The Plaza area of the Administrative Thousand Islands Regency on Pramuka Island, where the vaccination took place, has its own appeal. In addition to its spaciousness, the vaccination participants could also relieve their boredom by enjoying the beautiful sea panorama from the Regency Pier. The lush trees also enhance the natural atmosphere. Many residents of the Thousand Islands were even seen walking along the pier after getting vaccinated.

On this occasion, Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno also performed a symbolic action by swimming 50 meters from the ship to the shore of Pramuka Island as an effort to have the stamina to achieve the goal: health and safety from COVID-19. Hopefully, what Minister Sandiaga did can inspire fellow travelers and the community in the Thousand Islands to keep holding on so they can achieve the same goal: recovery and economic revival.

After getting vaccinated, don’t forget to continue following health protocols by strictly applying the 6M: wearing a mask properly, washing hands with soap, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, limiting mobility, and avoiding eating together.
