Around the Senayan area, several Busway stops can be reached. If you're starting from Senayan, you'll find multiple accessible stops. Transjakarta comprises two types: Transjakarta BRT, which operates on dedicated lanes isolated from private vehicles, and Transjakarta non-BRT, which shares lanes with general traffic or runs alongside other vehicles.

1. Bundaran Senayan Busway Stop

The Bundaran Senayan Busway Stop is the closest stop to Senayan City, at a mere distance of 900 meters. It is situated on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta. From here, you can head towards Blok M or the direction of Kota Tua. You can also halt at the Bendungan Hilir Stop or the Harmoni Stop for transfers to other routes.

2. Gelora Bung Karno Busway Stop

The Gelora Bung Karno Busway Stop is located on Jl Jenderal Sudirman, Tanah Abang. This stop is conveniently situated near Gelora Bung Karno, hence the name. From here, you can travel towards Blok M or the direction of Kota Tua. For transfers to other routes, you can stop at the Bendungan Hilir Stop or the Harmoni Stop.

3. Senayan JCC Busway Stop

The Senayan JCC Busway Stop is located on Jl Jendral Gatot Subroto, Tanah Abang, Jakarta. This stop is also easily accessible from the JCC. A simple 3-minute stroll, covering approximately 280 meters from the JCC, will bring you to the stop. From here, you can head towards Pluit or Pinang Ranti. The Bendungan Hilir Stop is also available for transfers to other routes.

How to Ride the TransJakarta Bus?

  1. Find information about the nearest bus stop to your location. You can do this by directly accessing the TransJakarta website or using Google Maps. This will provide you with details about transportation, routes, available stops, and costs.

  2. If you're using an app, you can plan your journey by entering the complete addresses for your starting point and destination. The app will then display information such as route details, transportation options, nearest stops, departure times, and estimated travel times.

How to Make Payments?

  • Payment at TransJakarta stops is done using electronic money cards instead of cash. You can purchase a JakLingko card at TransJakarta stops. This card can also be used on the MRT, LRT, and commuter lines.

  • Alternatively, you can use electronic cards issued by certain banks, such as BRIZZI from BRI, Flazz from BCA, Tapcash, Kartu Aku, and Rail Card from BNI, e-money, e-Toll Card, Indomaret Card, and GazCard from Bank Mandiri, JakCard from Bank DKI, and MegaCash from Bank Mega. These cards can be purchased at the issuing banks or TransJakarta stop counters.

  • Top up your card's balance via ATMs, mobile banking, stop counters, and e-wallets.

  • In addition to electronic money cards, you can also use the QRIS feature through the Tije app. Payments will be made through your chosen digital wallet.

How to Ride the TransJakarta Bus?

After knowing the route, stops, and having sufficient balance on your card, the next step is tap-in. There are differences between TransJakarta BRT and non-BRT services.

  • For TransJakarta non-BRT services, simply tap your electronic card on the bus entry point.

  • For TransJakarta BRT, you can tap your card on the reader provided at the gate to enter and access the busway corridor.

  • Select the appropriate busway lane according to your destination route, especially for TransJakarta BRT, which follows specific routes. TransJakarta offers various fixed routes throughout Jakarta. You can use the Google Maps app to determine the corridor number that matches your destination.

  • Alight and tap-out at your intended TransJakarta stop. For non-BRT TransJakarta users, tap-out on the same machine you tapped in with when entering the bus. Always remember to tap-out to avoid card blockage.

What Are the TransJakarta Fares?

Interestingly, the fares vary according to operational hours.

  • 05:00 AM - 07:00 AM: IDR 2,000
  • 07:00 AM - 12:00 AM: IDR 3,500
  • 12:00 AM - 05:00 AM: IDR 3,500

There's another alternative to cater to your mobility needs. You can directly download the Grab or Gojek app. With these applications, you'll find it much easier to locate vehicles, whether four-wheeled cars or even motorbikes, ready to take you wherever you need to go. By using these apps, you can also view the fare upfront.

Feel free to select from these transportation options for your convenience and travel timing to avoid traffic congestion. These recommendations are intended for all delegates of ASEAN Summit 2023.
