Bali Entry Requirements for Visitors Regarding COVID-19

 

Due to its impressive result in tackling the number of COVID-19 infections, the government declared that Bali will be reopened to visitors starting from 28 May 2020. However, the Bali Provincial Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling of COVID-19 has imposed strict regulations for the upcoming visitors.

1 | Obtaining A Unique QR Code

They are required to fill in an application form at https://cekdiri.baliprov.go.id to obtain a QR code, which will then become a proof that each upcoming visitor has submitted the application form.

2 | Presenting COVID-19 Negative Certificate (PCR) for Airplane Passengers

The upcoming visitors going to the island by air must present a COVID-19 negative certificate that has been subjected to the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) from a government hospital laboratory or a COVID-19 Task Force designated laboratory. The COVID-19 negative certificate has a validity period of seven days from the time of arrival at one of the sea or airports of Bali.

3 | Presenting COVID-19 Negative Certificate (Rapid Test) for Sea and Land Travellers

Those who want to visit by sea transportations and land journeys must show a negative statement of COVID-19 test results using the rapid test method coming from a government hospital laboratory, the health department, or other authorities.

4 | Validity Period of COVID-19 Negative Certificate

It must be noted that each of the COVID-19 negative certificate, either the PCR or rapid test one, has a validity period of seven (7) days from the time of arrival at one of the sea or airports of Bali.

5 | Additional Notes to Prospective Visitors

The regional government of Bali still advises people to not visit Bali unless for urgent matters. However, according to Bali Governor Wayan Koster, there is a tourism strategy that will be implemented after Bali recovers from COVID-19 outbreak. The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan also confirmed that along with Manado and Batam, Bali will be one of the first three destinations that the government is planning to ease restrictions.
