Mendut Temple is one of the remnants of Buddhist religious architecture from the golden age of the Ancient Mataram Kingdom in the 8th century. Mendut Temple has magnificent architecture with beautiful ornaments and a large Buddha statue within. Besides being an important archaeological site, Mendut Temple is also a place of pilgrimage and religious activities for Buddhists as well as tourists interested in the history and beauty of Central Java culture.
