Museum Negeri Nusa Tenggara Barat is an educational tourist destination that offers deep knowledge about the history, culture, and art of the people of West Nusa Tenggara. The museum has four main rooms: Permanent Exhibition Room 1 contains collections of geological heritage and geological diversity in West Nusa Tenggara; Permanent Exhibition Room 2 contains collections about cultural heritage as sources of history and knowledge; the Treasury Room houses valuable collections showcasing excellence in terms of material, form, function, and characteristics; and the Geological Room, which is separate from the main building, is designed to publicize and inform about the geological heritage, geological diversity, biodiversity, and cultural diversity at Mount Rinjani, which was declared a World Geopark by UNESCO in 2018.
