Indonesia’s Tourism Minister , Arief Yahya recognizes  that Singapore not only as an important international air transportation hub and gate for tourism to Indonesia but also as a very potential hub for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and exhibitions activities. There are thousands of international companies from Europe, America, Asia, and Australia that have representative offices in Singapore.

“We have designated Singapore as a hub for international tourists to Indonesia. All  international flights are connected to the country. In the period of one year over 15.5 international tourists arrive here as well as 1.5 million expatriates living in the country. The distance from Singapore to Batam and Bintan is no more than one hour’s ferry ride.  Moreover,  the Short Visa Free policy is being consistently promoted in  Singapore” stated Minister Arief Yahya.  Through closer cooperation, Indonesia envisages to receive increasing numbers of visitors to benefit both countries.
