Tangkoko Batuangus Nature Reserve is a protected area located in North Bitung District, Bitung City, North Sulawesi. History and Conservation
Tangkoko Nature Reserve was first established as a protected forest by the Dutch East Indies Government in 1919 and was expanded in 1978. In 1981, it was officially designated as the Tangkoko Batuangus Nature Reserve by the Minister of Agriculture. The reserve is managed by the North Sulawesi Natural Resources Conservation Agency and serves as a sanctuary for endangered endemic species.
