Continuing until December 13, 2021, Check Out the Latest PPKM Rules for Java and Bali!

Good news, Pesona friends! In line with the decline in daily COVID-19 cases and the accelerating vaccination rate, there are now no regions with Level 4 PPKM status in Java and Bali. However, to anticipate a possible future surge in cases, PPKM has been extended until December 13, 2021. Based on the Minister of Home Affairs Instruction No. 63 of 2021 regarding the Implementation of Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM) Levels 4, 3, 2, and 1 for COVID-19 in Java and Bali, here are the latest regulations:

PPKM Level 3 Regulations for Java-Bali:

  • Educational activities (schools, universities, academies, and training) will be conducted face-to-face with a maximum capacity of 50%, except for special needs schools (SDLB, SMPLB, SMLB, or similar), with a maximum capacity of 62-100%, ensuring a distance of at least 1.5 meters between students and a maximum of 5 students per class. For PAUD (early childhood education), the maximum capacity is 33% with the same distance and student limit.
  • Non-essential sector activities will operate at 25% WFO for vaccinated employees, with mandatory use of the PeduliLindungi app for access control.
  • Shopping malls/markets are open with the following rules:
    • Maximum capacity of 50%, open until 9 PM, with health protocols managed by the Ministry of Trade.
    • Mandatory use of PeduliLindungi for screening visitors and employees.
    • Restaurants in malls can serve dine-in with a capacity of 50%, maximum two people per table, and a 60-minute dining time.
    • Children under 12 are prohibited from entering malls.
    • Play areas and entertainment spots in malls are closed.
  • Restaurants or cafes operating from the evening have a capacity of 25% with strict health protocols.
  • Cinemas are open with a 50% capacity and strict health protocols, including the use of the PeduliLindungi app.
  • Worship places (mosques, churches, temples, and other places of worship) can hold communal worship with a maximum of 50% capacity, ensuring strict health protocols.
  • Public places like parks and tourist sites are closed temporarily.
  • Specific tourist attractions will be trialed with strict health protocols, including the use of the PeduliLindungi app, and restrictions for children under 12.
  • Food vendors and street markets are allowed to open with strict health protocols and limited dining times.
  • Public transport is limited to a maximum of 70% capacity.
  • Weddings and other community events can be held with a maximum of 25% capacity and no dine-in meals.

PPKM Level 2 Regulations: Level 2 allows more relaxed regulations than Level 3:

  • Educational activities are allowed with a 50% capacity.
  • Non-essential sectors can operate at 50% capacity with vaccinated employees.
  • Essential sectors can operate at 75% capacity, while critical sectors can operate at 100%.
  • Shopping malls can operate with a 70% capacity, and children under 12 are allowed with a parent.
  • Worship places can accommodate up to 75% capacity.
  • Public places like parks and tourist attractions can operate at 25% capacity with strict health protocols.
  • Cinemas can operate at 70% capacity, and dining is allowed with a maximum of 60 minutes.

PPKM Level 1 Regulations:

  • Educational activities continue with 50% capacity.
  • Non-essential sectors operate with 75% WFO, and essential sectors at 100% capacity.
  • Public places like markets and supermarkets can operate at full capacity.
  • Cinemas, restaurants, and public transport can operate with 100% capacity under strict health protocols.
  • Tourist attractions can open with 75% capacity and children under 12 allowed with a parent.
