Beskap is a traditional garment commonly worn by men in Solo during various ceremonial and formal events. It is usually paired with a batik cloth as the lower garment and a blangkon as a head covering. The blangkon, made from batik fabric, has a distinctive shape and symbolizes the intelligence and social status of the wearer. Additionally, men who wear Solo traditional clothing often complete their appearance with a keris (a traditional dagger) tucked into their waist. The keris is not only an accessory but also a symbol of courage and honor.
