The movements of this dance are characterized by hand movements that involve waving and feet movements that involve tiptoeing, interspersed with body-turning movements. In the middle of the performance, one dancer typically dances on a drum beaten by accompanying musicians. The rhythm played is usually fast-paced but is adjusted to match the dancers’ movements.
