Borobudur Authority Agency (BOB) Provides Assistance and Training for Tourism Destination Activation at Embung Senja

As social restrictions are eased in various regions and the transitional period of adapting to new habits begins, local communities can now resume traveling #DiIndonesiaAja. The reopening of the tourism sector must be supported by adjustments to tourism management in accordance with CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, and Environmental Sustainability) health protocols at various destinations across Indonesia. The readiness of local areas and tourist destinations is essential in adapting to post-pandemic global tourism trends, which will prioritize health, safety, and comfort.

Recognizing the importance of awareness and discipline in adhering to CHSE protocols, the Borobudur Authority Agency (BOB) has conducted socialization efforts, guidance, training, and a compliance declaration for three tourist villages in the Embung Senja area, Yogyakarta. The assistance activities include providing materials on carrying capacity and visitor flow, mapping tourist zoning areas, traffic management, and conducting visitor simulation exercises—including in the culinary sector—by tourism destination managers.

In addition to guidance, BOB has also provided facilities and infrastructure to support the effective and consistent implementation of CHSE protocols. This initiative aims to foster awareness, discipline, and compliance with CHSE guidelines to regain the trust of tourists. The series of activities over the past few days concluded with the signing of a commitment and an independent declaration towards adapting to new habits by the management of Embung Senja.
