Jago Temple

Jago Temple is a historic Hindu temple located in Tumpang, Malang, East Java, Indonesia. Jago Temple boasts a highly distinctive and unique architectural style, featuring a roof that resembles a kendi (water jug) or gentong(traditional earthenware jar). The temple's religious background encompasses both Caiwa (Hindu) and Buddhism, as evidenced by reliefs depicting stories related to Buddhism, such as Kunjarakarna, as well as several statue such as Hayagriva, Brhuti, and Amoghapaça. Additionally, Hindu influences are evident in reliefs showcasing the Parthayana, Arjunawiwaha, and Kresnayana epics, along with various animal story relief panels.
