Quarantine Regulations for International Travelers

In addition to the latest regulations, all international travelers must undergo self-quarantine for a few days in a designated hotel upon arrival. Based on Circular Letter No. 7 of 2022 issued by the COVID-19 Task Force, effective from February 16, 2022, international travelers must undergo quarantine for the following durations:

  • 7 x 24 hours for travelers who have received only the first dose of the vaccine
  • 5 x 24 hours for travelers who have received the second dose of the vaccine
  • 3 x 24 hours for travelers who have received the third dose (booster)

One day before the end of the quarantine period (or in the morning of the last day of quarantine for those who received the third dose), travelers must take another RT-PCR test. If the test result is negative, they will be cleared from quarantine. However, if the RT-PCR test result is positive, the traveler must follow these procedures:

  • Self-isolate in a hotel or centralized isolation facility if experiencing no symptoms or mild symptoms
  • Be hospitalized in a COVID-19 referral hospital if experiencing moderate, severe symptoms, or underlying health conditions

*The costs of centralized isolation will be covered by the government
