Museum Multatuli
Museum Multatuli is dedicated to commemorating Edward Douwes Dekker, a Dutch writer better known by his pen name Multatuli. He authored the legendary novel Max Havelaar, which harshly criticized the colonial system in the Dutch East Indies, particularly the oppression in Lebak. The museum's theme is "anti-colonialism museum," showcasing the history of colonialism as an introduction to the anti-colonial movements, presented from various perspectives. This museum aims to serve as a medium for learning about how colonialism functioned and how it was dismantled by nationalist movements.

Museum Multatuli is located at Jalan Alun-Alun Timur No. 8, Rangkasbitung, Lebak Regency, Banten. Its strategic location, near the town square, makes it easily accessible for visitors.

How to Get There 
- By Air: Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is the nearest airport. From the airport, the journey to Rangkasbitung takes approximately 2-3 hours by car or online transportation.
- By Land: If traveling by train, you can take the KRL Commuter Line to Rangkasbitung from Tanah Abang Station in Jakarta. Once you arrive at Rangkasbitung Station, the museum is just a 5-minute drive or a 10-minute walk away. Alternatively, public transportation or private vehicles are available from various cities in Banten.

- The museum features a variety of fascinating collections that illustrate colonial history and the struggles of the people of Lebak, including:
- Manuscripts and the first edition of the novel Max Havelaar.
- Dioramas depicting the life of the Lebak community during the colonial period.
- Photographic documentation of Edward Douwes Dekker and the conditions in Lebak during colonial times.
- Historical artifacts related to the forced cultivation system.
- Information about anti-colonial movements and the struggles of the people of Banten.
- Interactive monuments, including statues of Multatuli and Saidjah and Adinda (characters from Max Havelaar), as well as a bookshelf.
