However, travelers must have received the booster vaccine," he revealed during an online press conference on Friday (26/8/2022).
In line with the COVID-19 Task Force team, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, also conveyed a similar statement. "The government's step of requiring a booster vaccine for domestic travelers is crucial in handling the pandemic," said Sandiaga, as quoted from katadata.co.id.
Based on Circular Letter (SE) Number 24 of 2022 regarding Domestic Travel Provisions during the COVID-19 Pandemic, here is the full explanation, Sobat Pesona!
Sobat Pesona traveling by air, sea, land using private or public vehicles, ferries, and intercity trains to and from regions across Indonesia must comply with the following regulations:

Domestic travelers (PPDN) must meet the following travel requirements:
- PPDN aged 18 years and above must have received the third dose (booster) vaccine.
- PPDN with foreign national status, traveling from abroad, aged 18 years and above must have received the second dose of vaccine.
- PPDN aged 6-17 years must have received the second dose of vaccine.
- PPDN aged 6-17 years traveling from abroad are exempt from vaccination requirements.
- PPDN under the age of 6 are exempt from vaccination requirements but must travel with a companion who meets the COVID-19 vaccination requirements.

PPDN as stated in item (a) is not required to show a negative RT-PCR or rapid antigen test result and can travel domestically while adhering to strict health protocols.

PPDN with special health conditions or comorbid diseases that prevent the traveler from receiving vaccination are exempt from the vaccination requirement, are not required to show a negative RT-PCR or rapid antigen test result, and must submit a medical certificate from a government hospital stating that they have not and/or cannot undergo the COVID-19 vaccination.
