The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy showcases North Sumatra's flagship products through a portable installation at Sopo Del Tower Mega Kuningan.

November 1, 2021 – After completing the Beli Kreatif Danau Toba program on June 25, 2021, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Tourism and Creative Economy Agency has now launched a follow-up initiative in the form of a portable installation to showcase North Sumatra's creative products at Sopo Del Tower Mega Kuningan, specifically in the GF Lifestyle area.

Through this installation, the Ministry presents 88 posters featuring North Sumatran creative products, consisting of those from the Beli Kreatif Danau Toba program and those fostered by Bank Indonesia, arranged in a planogram. These products come from the fashion, craft, and culinary subsectors, all of which have been curated to ensure quality assurance.

Visitors and employees at Sopo Del Tower can purchase North Sumatran creative products online, as the posters are equipped with barcodes that direct consumers to marketplaces. "In addition to serving as a promotional platform for North Sumatran products, this installation also aims to raise awareness and foster love for the region’s top products," said Yuana Rochma Astuti, Director of Creative Economy Marketing at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Tourism and Creative Economy Agency.

The installation consists of two vertical panels and one display table, and is scheduled to be showcased from November 1 to 30, 2021. Equipped with a touchless sensor-activated rotating display table, this installation is designed to be interactive and attract visitors' attention. Additionally, the display table includes a mini screen that plays looping videos about Indonesian creative products and instructions on how to purchase them.

Government Collaboration in Supporting the Creative Economy
The selection process, which involved recommendations from Bank Indonesia, highlights the government’s collaboration and synergy in developing Indonesia’s creative economy, particularly in North Sumatra. Nia Niscaya, Deputy for Marketing at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, stated:

"In line with the Ministry’s duty and function of managing government affairs in the creative economy sector, we continuously strive to initiate innovative programs to promote Indonesian creative products. Through this installation, we hope to boost sales of Indonesian creative products and encourage the public to support and use them."

A Commitment to Supporting Creative Entrepreneurs
As a follow-up program to Beli Kreatif Danau Toba, this portable installation demonstrates the Ministry’s seriousness and commitment to assisting creative entrepreneurs, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

"This initiative is not just about providing three months of facilitation through the BKDT program, but also about ensuring continued support for creative entrepreneurs in the next steps," said Sandiaga Uno, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency.

With its portable concept, this installation can be moved to different locations, making it an effective and efficient promotional tool. Instead of repeatedly producing new displays, the content can be adapted to different themes and locations simply by replacing the transparent posters, ensuring flexibility in showcasing creative products.
