Tamansari Tourist Village is a village located in the western part of Banyuwangi City, East Java, about 24 kilometers from the city center. This smart village-based tourist destination has been established since the beginning of 2016.

Tamansari Tourist Village has a lot of tourism potential, which is the result of collaboration between the village government and its community. In this village, visitors will be treated to natural attractions, culture, and the leading products of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

The overall tourism potential, from natural beauty, cultural diversity, to creative economic products, is expected to bring pride and welfare to the people of Tamansari Tourist Village.

This was directly emphasized by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, during his visit to Tamansari Tourist Village. "We hope that the villagers in Banyuwangi will become more enthusiastic about driving the economy and opening as many job opportunities as possible. Tourism is just a supporting factor, while the culture will be the pillar that sustains life here," he said.

The Minister hopes that tourists visiting Tamansari Tourist Village will experience, enjoy, and buy local products.

In Tamansari Tourist Village, you can taste getuk lindri served with other traditional snacks such as cenil, klepon, urug-urug, kue putu, and uceng-uceng. For just Rp10,000 to Rp15,000, you can enjoy a complete portion of getuk lindri.

Fresh and clear, these are the two things that come to mind when experiencing Sendang Seruni. Sendang Seruni offers a natural view of a pool with crystal-clear mountain spring water.

According to local stories, Sendang Seruni was once a water source called Sumber Seruni because the bathing site was surrounded by a forest with seruni flowers. It is said that the location was also used as a bathing place by angels, so the Osing community called it Sendang, which later became known as Sendang Seruni.

3. Taman Gandrung Terakota

Taman Gandrung Terakota is a park featuring a series of statues of gandrung dancers, a traditional art form from Banyuwangi. Not only that, but as you enter the park, you will be greeted by views of green hills, rice fields, farmers plowing their fields, coffee plantations, durian trees, various species of bamboo, and local endemic plants.

The development of Taman Gandrung Terakota was inspired by the Terracotta Warriors and Horses of China, built during the reign of Emperor Qin Shi Huang (259-210 BC). The park's layout was designed by art curator Dr. Suwarno Wisetrotomo from the Indonesian National Gallery and a lecturer at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta.

4. Omah Kopi

A visit to Tamansari Tourist Village would not be complete without buying five of the best local coffees as souvenirs. The five types of coffee available are Ijen Robusta, Ijen Arabica, Espresso Osing Blend, Telemung Robusta, and Telemung Excelsa.

One of the most popular varieties is Robusta. Banyuwangi Robusta coffee is known for its unique taste, with a subtle spice aroma processed through a wet grinding technique.

You can buy these coffees at various prices, starting from the cheapest Telemung Robusta coffee at Rp60,000 per 250 grams, to the most expensive Ijen Arabica at Rp85,000 per 250 grams.
