The Lambung Mangkurat Museum is one of the largest museums in South Kalimantan, located in Banjarbaru. Its name is derived from a figure in the Banjar folklore, Lambung Mangkurat, known as the regent of the Negara Dipa Kingdom, the predecessor of the Banjar Kingdom. Initially named the Borneo Museum and established by the Dutch government in 1907, the Lambung Mangkurat Museum was gradually developed starting in 1974 as an expansion of its predecessor.

How to Get There
By Air: You can fly to Syamsudin Noor Airport in Banjarmasin, then take a taxi or motorcycle taxi to the Lambung Mangkurat Museum.
By Land: Private vehicles or buses from surrounding cities like Balikpapan or Banjarmasin can be used, heading to Ahmad Yani Street km 36 in Banjarbaru.

The museum houses 12,149 items categorized into 10 types, including Geological Objects: 123 items, Biological Objects: 190 items, Ethnographic Objects: 6,384 items, Archaeological Objects: 239 items, Historical Objects: 499 items, and Numismatics/Heraldics: 3,335 items. Notable collections include:
- Photo Collages: Historical documentation of South Kalimantan over time.
- Artifacts: Replicas of ancient artifacts discovered in South Kalimantan, including a bibble written in Arabic-Malay script introduced by the Dutch.
- Ancient Ceramics: A collection of 50-year-old ceramics reflecting the region's art and - craftsmanship.
- Traditional Clothing: Traditional attire from South Kalimantan, including the iconic Banjar sarong with the Belang Hatta pattern.
