Aling-Aling

Aling-Aling is one of the architectural elements in traditional Balinese homes, serving as a protective wall within the courtyard of a house or temple. Aling-Aling is typically placed just after the main gate (Angkul-Angkul), acting as a barrier that prevents direct visibility into the inner parts of the house. Besides functioning as a privacy shield, Aling-Aling also holds deep philosophical significance in Balinese Hindu culture.
